Who isn’t a Nutella fan?
Nutella Sandwich Cookies & Milk
It was 95 degrees Fahrenheit in New York today. It’s supposed to be 97 tomorrow with a heat index of…*gulp* 111 degrees. That’s right, it will feel like 111 degrees. My main focus is to stay hydrated and not look tomato faced while I’m sweating my make-up off. I’m thinking about buying one of those pocket fans at the drugstore tomorrow if I can find it but New York isn’t supposed to be this hot! The subway stations smell like pee and people yell each other on mass transit systems more often because they’re hot, cranky and crazy. It’s important to stay hydrated and cool so you don’t go crazy too. One of the ways I’m staying cool is treating myself to cold desserts like the classic root beer float with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Recipes for traditional treats can always be tweaked a little because a treat wouldn’t be a treat anymore if it starts to bore you. Like root beer floats. I’ve had it for two days in a row. Root beer floats, as tasty as this classic is, can be more exciting…
…if you add some rum to it and drink it with a pretty straw.
